In 2003 we began producing essential oils and isolates from buchu, a member of South Africa's fynbos biome. Our vision to develop scientific and processing capabilities in the biosciences field resulted in our company evolving into a leading producer of sustainable, bio-manufactured, natural (EU/FDA) aroma chemicals for the flavour and fragrance industries.

The Knowledge Keepers
In accordance with the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing, we have an agreement with the Khoi and San communities, the traditional knowledge holders for the uses and benefits of buchu, an indigenous bio-resource. Financial benefits from the commercial application of this knowledge in the flavour and fragrance industries are shared annually with the Khoi and San, and internationally recognised by the Clearing House of the UN Environment Programme.
